Legal Services

The Office of Student Affairs offers student legal services & drop-ins.

Visit the Student Affairs website if you would like to:

  • Request services for referrals, consultations, and document drafting
  • Make an appointment, either in person or via Zoom
  • Learn about "Drop-In Tuesdays"
  • Find out how to prepare to meet with an attorney

You may need to complete an intake form, depending on the services you're seeking. All University Park and Commonwealth Campus students who are enrolled in a campus that participates in the Student Initiated Fee and have personal legal needs qualify for their services.

This website provides general information only and is not intended to offer legal advice. Your rental situation is unique. Here are some resources to consider if you need more help:

  • The website PaLawHelp compiles informational brochures from legal services agencies across the state.
  • Locally, free legal services are available to qualifying individuals through MidPenn Legal Services. MidPenn typically does not assist Penn State students with landlord-tenant matters.
  • Private attorneys can be located through the Centre County Bar Association directory.
